All of our road legal number plates carry our company name, postcode and the BSAU number permanently marked into the plate, as opposed to being stuck on like some sellers! The text is a legal requirement set by the DVLA, to allow the relevant authorities to source which company produced the number plates if required.
All of our number plates are 100% road legal, including the 3D & 4D styles. Here is a link to the DVLA Government website that states “number plates can have 3D (raised) characters.” - Government Number Plate Rules. (‘All 4D number plates are actually 3D, 4D is just a standard term used in the industry")
No, By law, the small text at the bottom of all road legal number plates must contain the name of the supplier of the number plates, and and the British Standard (BSAU) number they conform to.
Incorrectly spaced digits and letters on number plates is an offence under the Road Vehicles (Registration & Licensing) Regulations 1971, which can result in a fine of up to £1,000, along with an MOT failure. Be sure to enter your registration number as shown on your Logbook (V5) or DVLA document V796 (available in pdf on the web). If you try to input incorrect spacing into our plate text field, it will be corrected to the legal spacing when your plates are made. This only applies to vehicle registration number plates and not novelty plates (names, words etc..nothing that ressembles a vehicle registration number).
All vehicles have their fitting holes in different places, so for this reason we do not pre-drill your number plates. The easiest way to fit new number plates to your vehicle, is to use our strong adhesive pads that do not require any drilling. Alternatively, you can use the screws provided in our fixing kits.
Warranty information: Drilling holes into your new number plates can cause de-lamination between the reflective backing and the acrylic, which will eventually show water ingress around your drilled holes. Your warranty will not cover you for this damage, as this is not a manufacturing defect. We always recommend using strong adhesive pads or holder frames over drilling into your new plates.
We process orders as soon as they're placed, it may not be possible to issue a refund if the plates are already in production. In the event that the new number plates have not gone into production a full refund will be offered.
